Who we are

TEMPA Sauna is a wood-fired sauna and cold plunge at Bray Lake Watersports, Monkey Island Lane, Bray SL6 2EB. We decide how your personal data is used. For anything in this policy, email hello@tempasauna.co.uk.

What we collect

• When you book or buy (sessions, private hire, bundles, memberships, gift cards): your name, email address, phone number if you give it, what you booked and when, and whether you've paid. Bookings and payments run through Periode, our booking system, and card payments through their payment provider, Adyen. We never see your full card details.

• When you use our contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.

• When you join our email list: your email address, your first name if you give it, and when you joined and confirmed.

• When you get our emails: whether each email was delivered and opened, and which links were clicked.

Why we use it

• To run your booking: confirmations, reminders and anything you need to know about your visit. We need this to provide what you booked.

• To reply to messages you send us.

• To send our emails: what's on, offers, giveaways and the odd story. If you've booked with us, we may email you about similar things unless you've told us not to. If you joined the list on our website, we email you because you asked us to. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works straight away.

• To keep our accounts and records in order, as the law requires.

Who we share it with

Only the services that help us run TEMPA, and only what they need: Periode (bookings and payments) with Adyen (card payments), Wix (our website and contact form), Resend (sends our emails), Neon (stores the data our email system uses, in Frankfurt) and Microsoft (our email inbox).

Some of these are based outside the UK. Where your data leaves the UK, it's protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as adequacy regulations or the UK's standard contract clauses. We never sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

• Booking and payment records: six years, for our accounts.

• Email list details: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a do-not-email list, so you don't hear from us again by mistake.

• Contact form messages: up to two years.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop emailing you. Email hello@tempasauna.co.uk and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Our website runs on Wix, which uses cookies to make the site work and to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
